When Marbella Mac Solutions wanted to revamp its website to better reflect the excellence of the product lines it runs and the service it provides to its clients, it turned to Reedus Design to help.
The company wished to be able to add many interactive elements to its website. These included a calendar for its training courses and other events, and the ability for clients to ask and have answered Mac and Apple-related questions by MMS’s resident Mac guru, Justin Menchen. They also needed to integrate a Mac store for buying products online.
All of this had to be included in an easy-to-edit, stylish and modern site.
Great design with easy configurability
For this project, we decided that success or failure would largely depend on the quality of the design. Apple products are beautifully designed, and the site had to reflect that. What’s more, MMS were very sure of what they wanted.
We put a lot of effort into the logo design and worked for a long time with MMS to get this right. Equally, the layout and colours used had to carry a feeling of “exalted quality” across to the website.
But equal to this was a need to allow MMS to easily add to and change their site, and to allow their clients and customers a chance to contribute. By using a total custom design of the very easy-to-use blogging platform Wordpress, we gave MMS this functionality.
Finally, the challenge was to integrate MMS’s chosen online store provider. Through close liaison effort between their online store solution, MMS themselves and us, we succeeded in adding this final piece of the jigsaw to their site.
Delivering what the customer wants
Justin Menchen of MMS – famously a man of few words – said: “For the new MMS website, the thing is that I was very sure of what I wanted. Basically, Reedus gave me exactly that. I’m very pleased with the site. Have I said enough yet?”
